The InfraGard Members Alliance (IMA) local chapters represent the heart of the InfraGard network. At the chapter level, each member has the opportunity to join with fellow private sector subject matter experts and discuss issues, concerns and threats that impact the nation’s critical infrastructure security, as well as their business interests on a local level.
Speakers from public and private agencies and the law enforcement community are often invited to share their knowledge and insight into security matters with chapter members. Additionally, chapters also often provide:
- Training and education initiatives
- A local newsletter
- A Contingency Plan for using alternative systems in the event of a successful large scale attack on the information infrastructure
Each of the 85 IMA chapters is co-located with an FBI Field Office and is represented by both a private sector chapter President, and an FBI Special Agent Coordinator.
